Description

I know…. sounds impossible… but I came up with this after i realized i was eating over 500 calories of Tortilla chips. I thought of a way to eliminate them, and amazingly get away with a full plate under 100Calories… here’s how!!

Ingredients

  • 5 stalks Celery, Without The Leaves
  • ¼ cups Nacho Cheese, Warm
  • 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Preparation

I know this will sound silly to post this here, but i was so excited about my finding… that I have to share…

Celery is crunchy, and pretty much tasteless… so it goes perfectly with pretty much anything!!

Wash the celery, cut it up any size you want. Spread on a plate.

Warm up the cheese for about 45 seconds, pour over celery evenly. Enjoy.

I promise you, you will feel as if you ate nachos and you have just saved yourself 500 calories worth of chips. Celery is the only negative calorie food, which mean you actually burn more calories eating it, than there is in it. haha Nacho cheese has 80 calories per 1/4 cups. I now buy mine at Sam’s club, the big container. (look at related link for a picture)

I have made this with canned chicken breast with the celery and its absolutely delicious. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if you like spicy, or even jalapenos peppers! Be creative!

I lost 5 pounds in a week doing this instead of the chips, and I have never craved the chips again, since I still get the cheese :)

Hope i don’t look crazy posting this. hahaha

Delicious! I love celery! I’m also doing low carb…I’ll have to check the count on the cheese, but I think I can so do this! Thanks so much for a great idea!

I love nachos and would never have thought of substituting celery for chips…duh!!! Thank you for this recipe, I’m in a weight loss group and guess what I’ll be bringing as the snack next week? (And if I lose 5 pounds in a week I am going to buy you a car.)
