This is a favorite, long time family recipe. Make more than you think you’ll need; they always go fast.
Preheat oven to 400F.
Combine cheese, egg, bread crumbs, garlic, butter and salt. Using a small cookie scoop, fill mushroom caps with mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes on a lined baking sheet until tops are golden brown. Serve immediately.
