Description

Whole wheat pita makes a perfect chip for a refreshing fruit salad. Perfect for summertime!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SALSA:
  • 1 whole Kiwi, Peeled And Diced Small
  • 8 whole Strawberries, Hulled And Diced Small
  • 1 whole Asian Pear, Diced Small
  • ¼ cups Fresh Raspberries, Roughly Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Your Favorite Preserves, Like Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry Or Pineapple

  • FOR THE CHIPS:
  • ¾ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons White Sugar
  • 1 package Whole Wheat Pita Bread
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Softened

Preparation

For the fruit salsa: Combine all of the prepared fruit into a medium bowl and mix in the preserves. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve!

For the baked pita chips: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Spread the pitas with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar on both sides. Cut into strips or triangles and place on baking sheets. Working in batches, bake for 6-8 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy! Serve with chilled fruit salsa.
