Description

A delightful strawberry dip to serve alongside beautiful jeweled skewers of fresh fruit.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE DIP:
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, Hulled
  • 1 package (8 Oz.) Of Neufchatel Cheese (reduced Fat Cream Cheese)
  • 1 jar (7 Oz) Marshmallow Creme
  • ½ teaspoons Grated Orange Zest
  • Agave Nectar Or Honey To Taste If Desired
  • FOR THE FRUIT SKEWERS:
  • 10 sticks 6" Size Bamboo Skewers
  • Assorted Fresh Fruit, Cut Into Different Shapes

Preparation

Add strawberries to a food processor and puree. Add neufchatel cheese, marshmallow creme, and grated orange zest. Process until smooth. Add agave nectar or honey to taste if you want the dip to be a little sweeter. Cover and refrigerate the dip if not using immediately. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. *See note below for a different preparation method.

Thread pieces of fruit onto skewers as desired. Play around with it to get the prettiest combination of shapes and color so that they are really eye catching – they’ll look like sparkling jewels!

Serve brochettes alongside a bowl of the strawberry dip, and enjoy!

*Note: If you want a fluffier, slightly thicker dip, try this: whip the softened neufchatel cheese and marshmallow creme in a mixer at high speed until light. Add the strawberry puree, orange zest and agave nectar if desired, and beat again until well blended.
