The Southerner’s popcorn: sliced okra breaded and fried until golden brown.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, hot sauce, and milk. Coat sliced okra in the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Reduce heat to medium. Add okra, frying in batches, until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Season with additional salt if desired.
