Description

I’ve tried them all – restaurants, holiday dinners, parties with friends – and my husband picks my recipe hands down EVERY time. Easy to make, yummy to eat, and they are always the first to go at any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Cloves Fresh Garlic
  • 1/2 Small Onion
  • 5-8 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Parsley
  • 1/3 Lb. Italian Sausage Cooked And Drained
  • ½ cups Parmesan Cheese, Plus Additional For Topping
  • 1/4 Cup Bread Crumbs
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 2 Pkgs Mushrooms (1 Lb Ea)
  • Small Squares Provolone Cheese

Preparation

Clean and de-stem mushrooms. Set aside.

Combine first 8 ingredients in food processor until mixture is smooth. This may require you to add more olive oil. Fill mushroom caps and sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese. Bake at 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Length of cooking time will depend on the size of the mushrooms. Keep an eye on them. Remove and place small slices of provolone on each mushroom. Broil until cheese is golden and bubbly, about 3-5 minutes.

…I make these without using a food processor and they are indeed the best stuffed mushrooms ever. Friends beg me to make ‘em!
