Description

If you are a fan of cilantro, this sauce is a must! You can eat it with chips. It’s great with broiled fish. It’s great to dab a grilled steak bite into. It’s great on grilled chicken. It’s just an all-around great tasting sauce with a wide variety of uses!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Softened Cream Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Green Tomatillo Salsa
  • 1 teaspoon Celery Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 bunch Cilantro
  • 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice, Freshly Squeezed
  • Salt To Taste

Preparation

Combine all ingredients except salt in a blender or food processor. Process until smooth. Add salt to taste, but be careful if you are using it for a chip dip, since most are already salty. Store in a covered serving bowl in the refrigerator.

I made this over the weekend for the Super Bowl and it was delicious. I substituted store brand American Neufchâtel Cheese – less fat and a good thing if you end up eating a bunch! ;o} I did not have tomatillo salsa on hand and look forward to making it again with the spicy salsa included.
