Description

It’s a little work, but it will really impress your guests. And it’s so tasty, you may decide to make it just for yourself.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Cream Cheese
  • ½ pounds Crabmeat Or Surimi
  • 3 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 3 bulbs Scallions, Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 package Won Ton Wrappers
  • 1 whole Egg White, Beaten
  • Oil, For Frying

Preparation

In medium sized bowl, combine cream cheese, crabmeat, garlic powder, scallions, and soy sauce. Place one tablespoon of mixture inside each individual won ton wrapper; seal with egg whites so wrapper will stick. Deep fry each won ton until golden brown.

The small shrimp often sold in glass jars (which I generally look down on) turn out fabulously in this recipe if you have no crabmeat. Do not substitute lowfat cream cheese; it doesn’t come out properly from the fryer.

This sounds so good. I always eat this when I eat out. Nice to know how to make some at home. Will give them a try. Thanks for the recipe.
