Description

A super simple dip that tastes just like cookie dough! Works great as an appetizer or as dessert; serve with graham crackers, cookies, juicy apples or salty pretzels!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter
  • ⅓ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 block (8 Oz. Block) Cream Cheese, Softened
  • ½ cups Powdered Sugar
  • ¾ cups Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and whisk until sugar dissolves and mixture starts to bubble. Set aside to cool, and whisk in vanilla.

Cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar for 60 seconds. With mixer on low speed, add in brown sugar and butter mixture. Mix until combined. I added the chocolate chips at this time so the mixer could break them up into pieces. You can so that, or just fold in the chocolate chips.

Garnish with additional chopped chocolate. Serve with fruit, cookies, crackers, pretzels or a spoon.

Just a tip, I like using the mini morsels chocolate chips. You can also use chocolate graham crackers. And another tip for a more elegant look, is to cover with plastic, roll into a ball, chill for an hour, then roll it in chopped pecans for a Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball.

My sis-in-law brought this to one of our family gatherings & it was fantastic! The only change she made was to use mini-choc. chips. It makes a lot & tasted great.

Should this be one cup or one stick of butter? I used one cup, but I noticed everywhere else says one stick. I had posted a review of this recipe but deleted it after I realized there is a possible typo in the recipe I used!

This recipe is so wrong, it’s right. We also took to our Super Bowl party, paired with pretzels, apples, graham cracker sticks and… yes, Oreos. Cookies dipped in cookie dough dip were devilishly delicious!

This was delicious! Best served with pretzels, in the humble opinion of all who ate it. Can’t wait to make it, again!

This dip was the highlight of our Super Bowl party last night. Not the M&M stripping commercial hilarious as it was, not David Beckham nearly nude (although that was a close second), not the hot wings, not the Giants pulling out the win, not Madonna, but THIS dip. Everyone that was at our party will be cursing me today when their pants don’t fit. And me? Well, I’m wearing my fat pants today (and probably all week) because of this dip but it was WORTH IT. So so so good, especially with pretzels and/or chocolate chip Teddy Grahams.
