Description

This makes a great party mix for your fall get-togethers or trail mix for sustaining energy during hikes, sports, and other fall activities.

Ingredients

  • 7 cups Assorted Chex (honey, Wheat, And Rice)
  • 1 cup Pretzels
  • 1 cup Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1 cup Roasted Peanuts
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • ¼ cups Maple Syrup
  • 1-½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chunks
  • 1 cup Cinnamon Chips

Preparation

In a large microwavable bowl, mix Chex, pretzels, pumpkin seeds, and peanuts.

In a microwavable measuring cup, add butter, syrup, and cinnamon. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then mix well. Pour sauce over Chex mix and stir until everything is coated.

Microwave on high for 3 minutes, stopping after every minute to mix. Spread on wax paper or a cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil and let cool.

Once cool, add chocolate chunks and cinnamon chips (if you add them too soon, they’ll melt). Store in an airtight container or portion out into individual servings and store in snack-sized zipper bags.
