Description

These Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Banana Bites are a quick and healthy treat or pre/post workout snack. They are vegan, gluten free and paleo-friendly.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Banana
  • ¼ cups Peanut Butter
  • 3 ounces, weight Dark Chocolate

Preparation

1. Slice the banana. Spoon peanut butter (about a heaping teaspoon) on one banana slice and top with another. Place into freezer to set up for about an hour.
2. Melt dark chocolate and dip banana bites in it. I place one cold bite on a fork and spoon melted chocolate over top – this way the excess can drip right off. Place dipped Peanut Butter Banana Bites in the fridge until the chocolate sets. I like to enjoy them frozen, so I keep them in the freezer.

Thank you for sharing!! I just tried making them and they came out great! I used a skewer stuck through the center and held the banana on an angle while I spooned the chocolate over then lightly tapped the skewer against the side of the pot to remove excess chocolate. Placing them on the wax paper was a breeze as they slowly slid off on their own. Then I dabbed a little extra chocolate over each one to cover the skewer hole. This IS a quick and easy snack that everyone in the house seems to like……guess I’ll be running out to get more bananas tomorrow :)
