Description

There are endless variations of this super-easy sweet treat, and it takes less than 30 minutes start to finish. Let the kids make their own tasty holiday gifts for everyone on their list!

The ingredients list is a suggestion of choices; add your favorites. The Crunch Mix pictured has pretzels, Rice Chex, pecans, milk chocolate chips, and candy sprinkles.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Candy Chips (Toffee, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Butterscotch, Cherry, Etc.)
  • Candy Sprinkles (optional)
  • _____
  • CRUNCHY INGREDIENTS:
  • Popcorn
  • Chex Cereal
  • Cheerios
  • Pretzels
  • Bugles
  • Nuts, Any Kind

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 250-degrees. Lightly spray a turkey pan with vegetable oil, then fill 3/4 full with any combination of your crunchy ingredients. Sprinkle the candy chips over the top and toss together lightly with your fingers. Bake for 10 minutes.

While your mix is baking, line 2 large cookie sheets with waxed or parchment paper.

Remove crunch mix from the oven and toss well with a large mixing spoon to completely cover the crunchy ingredients with the melted candy chips. Spread the mix on prepared cookie sheets. If desired, shake on candy sprinkles while the candy coating is still warm.

Allow to cool completely so candy coating firms up before packaging.
