Description

Seriously addictive toasted crunchy sweet salty goodness … make these now!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Nuts Of Your Choice (I Mix Walnuts, Pecans, And Almonds)
  • 4 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons White Sugar
  • 1-½ teaspoon Kosher Or Sea Salt
  • ¾ teaspoons Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cayenne Pepper

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a half sheet pan (I use vegetable oil spray). Put nuts into a large mixing bowl, then add all ingredients. Mix together until the nuts are well coated. This is best accomplished by using your hands. Turn the nuts out onto the tray and spread out evenly across the pan. Don’t worry if there are some sticking together.

Bake for 15 minutes, stirring once or twice. The total baking time will probably take longer, so keep baking them until the glaze gets bubbly and turns a beautiful caramel color. Be sure to stir the nuts every couple of minutes after the 15-minute mark until they they are done. Be extra careful not to over-bake the nuts—they can go too dark very quickly, so keep an eye on them.

Once they are done, pull them out and let them cool completely. Sprinkle them with a little extra sugar after about 4 minutes, and then break apart any clumps once cool.
