Description

A delicious wintertime treat!

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Egg Whites
  • ¾ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 pounds Pecans
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter

Preparation

First up, beat the eggs whites until they are a stiff foam. Add in the sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix it together and add in the nuts. Coat them well.

Heat up the oven to 350 degrees.

Drop the butter on a jelly roll pan and pop it in the oven and let it melt down. When completely melted, bring it out, spread it around the pan and place the nuts on the pan.

Place the nuts in the oven for 20 minutes, being sure to turn them once or twice. Bring them out and cool them completely.

These are great nuts. Like the other reviewers said, they’re not as sweet as some recipes. I liked them and think they’ll be perfect sprinkled on salads or as snacks for my kids.

Very good and super easy!I agree with the other review in that these were not too sweet. I used 4 cups of pecans but probably could have easily done 5-6. Will definitely use this recipe again!

Easy to make and they are good! I just pulled them out of the oven and had to try them before they cooled down. They taste great! Not too sweet…that is just what I wanted!
