Description

The Green Goddess gets reinvented here in my take on the original dressing, using California Haas avocados. Deliciously tangy and perfect with colorful crudites, this healthy dip will be a hit at any party!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Ripe Avocados, Preferably Hass
  • ⅓ cups Sour Cream
  • ⅓ cups Non-fat Plain Yogurt
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • ¼ cups (packed) Fresh Basil, Finely Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and blend together with an immersion stick blender until dip is smooth and basil is minced. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste, and transfer to serving bowl.

Serve with an assortment of crudites, such as baby carrots, sugar snap peas, jicama and red bell pepper spears, and cooked shrimp.

I made this tonight, and it turned out really well. I used my food processor to blend it all together. I could spread this on sandwiches, dip a carrot in it, or eat it with a pita!
