Description

Bold buffalo chicken flavor, clean fingers!

Ingredients

  • 3 strips Bacon
  • ½ cups Diced Celery (plus Leaves For Garnish)
  • ½ cups Diced Onion
  • 4 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Chopped Cooked Chicken
  • ¼ cups Hot Wing Sauce (like Franks)
  • 30 whole Athens Mini Fillo Shells
  • 1 ounce, weight Crumbled Blue Cheese

Preparation

Heat a skillet to medium-high. Add the bacon and brown for 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon and crumble when cool.

Add the celery and onion to the bacon grease. Saute for 2-3 minutes to soften, then add the cream cheese. Allow the cream cheese to melt a little, then mix in the chicken and hot wing sauce. Mix well.

Spoon the warm chicken mixture into the phyllo shells. Then sprinkle the tops with crumbled blue cheese, bacon, and celery leaves. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Made these for a lia sophia party and they were a hit! Super yummy recipe! (Time-saving tip: I made up the filling ahead of time and stuck it in the fridge. Twenty minutes before party time I put it in the shells and warmed them up quick in the oven. Worked like a charm!) Thanks for the great recipe!
