Description

Mmmm. The wonderful flavor combination of garlic and basil. This appetizer is so easy to make and so delicious to eat. Your guests will want seconds so you may need to make a double recipe! A glass of wine, candles, soft music and Brie Bruschetta makes the perfect evening.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Tomato, Finely Chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, Crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 1-½ teaspoon Dried Sweet Basil, Crushed
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 dashes Pepper
  • 4 ounces, weight (125g) Brie Cheese Round, With Rind
  • 1 whole Baguette Bread, Sliced, Toasted Or Plain

Preparation

Combine first 6 ingredients in a small bowl. Stir. Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.

Set cheese round in an ungreased small shallow casserole dish (I use a pie plate). Using a slotted spoon and allowing most of the liquid to drain off, transfer tomato mixture over top of cheese round. Discard remaining liquid.

Bake uncovered, in a 375 degrees (F) oven for 8-10 minutes until cheese is soft inside of the rind. Transfer onto serving platter using a pancake lifter. Surround with baguette slices. Serve and enjoy.
