Description

Fresh green beans bathed in a nice beer batter and lightly fried. A perfect appetizer that will please everyone.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Canola Oil, For Frying
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 12 ounces, fluid Your Favorite Amber Beer
  • 1 pound Green Beans, Washed And Patted Dry
  • 2 pinches Salt For Extra Seasoning
  • 2 pinches Black Pepper For Extra Seasoning
  • ½ cups Favorite Dip

Preparation

Begin by heating your canola oil in large saucepan on medium to high heat until it reaches a temperature of 350 degrees (using a cooking thermometer).

During this time, mix the salt and flour in a large bowl, and begin whisking in your beer until the dry ingredients are well combined and you have a nice batter consistency.

Add in your green beans and gently toss and mix until all beans have been coated. You can do this in batches if you need to.

Gently drop about 6-10 beans in the oil, cooking until they are a light golden brown. These cook fairly quickly and should be ready in just a few minutes. Remove beans from the hot oil using a slotted spoon and place them onto a plate lined with paper towel, or use a strainer with a plate underneath. Lightly season with salt and pepper.

Repeat until all green beans have been fried.

If you have never had a fried green bean, you should. I only say that because it could be one of the best fried foods you will ever try. Biting into one yields the perfect green bean. The bean still retains a mild snap while the beer batter, well, that just adds more yumminess. Dip the beans into your favorite dip and watch how others around you are delighted while eating them. Enjoy.
