This has become one of my favorites to serve at cookouts and get-togethers. It comes out a little greasy, but I just use a spoon to skim it off. Overall, simple and delicious!

Although it is terrible for you, this is absolutely delicious! I’ve made it for two seperate events, doubling the recipe both times and every bit got eaten. I made it in a round casserole dish..soooo good!

I made this last Christmas and hid the leftovers in the fridge so I could have it all to myself. Super rich and yummy!

I made this last Christmas as well. It is so divine. Everyone loved it, even those who say they don’t like onions. We had some left over and my mom used it as a topping for her baked potato the next day for lunch. She said it was out of this world!!

Oh my! This dip makes me so happy! I have used low fat cream cheese and it is wonderful. Red onions were just as good as Vidalia sweet onions. I also cooked a little more than 45 minutes to achieve the lovely browned top. You must try this!

this was addicting and amazing! I didn’t have a sweet onion so i used one medium white onion and one medium shallot. added a dash of garlic powder and this was SO good. I am going to be making this for a while. Next time DOUBLE the recipe. 4 of us ate the entire thing before dinner.
It was a tad greasy so might cut down on the mayo a bit next time but that didn’t stop us from devouring it.

I made this for a birthday party and it was a huge hit! We had both tortilla chips and toasted french bread to smear it on. Absolutely yummy. Make sure everyone eats some, though, so you can all have onion breath together!

This was the first Tasty Kitchen recipe I made (along with The Mushroom Soup–also amazing), and it is wonderful. I pad the grease off the top with some paper towels before serving.

This is one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. I’ve made it several times and it’s always a hit. The last time I made it was a little greasy, though, so I’ve modified the recipe a bit. I use only 1/2-3/4 cups of mayonnaise, and I use the low-fat cream cheese. YUMMY!

I made this for a bridal shower and I instantly became the most popular person there. Everyone wanted the recipe. I have since made it for several showers/parties and always get the same result. It’s so easy to make!

Fabulous !! As with some of the others, I couldn’t get mine to brown enough on top, either. Soooo…the second time I made it, I moved one oven rack up by the broiler. I baked this about 40 minutes, turned my broiler on and moved the dishes underneath it for a few minutes. Perfection !

I made this for the first time yesterday, and it was a big hit! I did use less than a whole onion… but perhaps I just had an unusually large onion

I think I’m going to have to make this!

I made this for a small scrapbooking event and 2 people who don’t like onions both loved it. My husband and I were fighting over the small bit of leftovers. I made a slight change, I carmelized the onions before mixing in to the dip. Yum!

I’m seeing a lot of comments about people thinking it’s too greasy and I’m so surprised! I made it over the weekend and didn’t have a problem with grease at all! I used low fat cream cheese and mayo – maybe that’s why?
