Water chestnuts marinated in soy sauce and sugar, wrapped in bacon and baked.
Marinate drained sliced water chestnuts in soy sauce mixed with sugar. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice the bacon in thirds. Wrap a bacon slice around a marinated water chestnut slice and secure with a toothpick. Place each wrapped water chestnut on a rack on a foil-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 45 minutes or until bacon is done.
