Description

Simple tater tots that have a bacon wrapper, and when cooked, you have yourself a wonderful appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 strips Your Favorite Bacon
  • 12 whole Frozen Tater Tots
  • ¼ cups Blue Cheese Crumbles (optional)

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 400ºF.

Stack the slices of bacon, then cut in half. Take the half slices and cut those in half lengthwise.

Next, lay a slice of the bacon on a plate. Add the tater tot about 1 inch from the bottom of the bacon. Roll over to cover the tater tot, and place on a baking sheet, seam side down. Repeat with the remaining tater tots.

Place in the preheated oven and cook them for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp.

When you are ready to serve, place them on your serving dish, and serve alongside some blue cheese.

The end result is nothing short of amazing. You get that crisp, smoky bacon, and when paired with a simple tater tot and that hit of blue cheese … whoa! These bacon-wrapped tater tots are super easy to make and really please any bacon lover. I hope you enjoy!

I can’t believe something so simple and easy could be so incredibly good! I just made these for “brunch” this morning – terrific!

Well, the five mitts is based on hearsay…I made these last night and they were GONE before I could even taste one!! My grandson and his friend were all over them like locusts…they each had two burgers and about 20 of the tots, EACH. (Where do teenage boys put the stuff they eat???) Anyway, they kept hovering around the kitchen, in search of more…guess that rates five mitts! :-)
