Description

Dates, stuffed with almonds and wrapped in bacon. So very good.

Ingredients

  • 1 tub Pitted Dates
  • 1 tub Salted Almonds
  • 1 package Bacon

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Set up a little assembly line. Push one almond into a date. Repeat. Cut bacon in half. Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around the stuffed date. Place a toothpick through the bacon seam. Place the wrapped dates on a cookie sheet with edges. One 10 oz tub of dates makes two cookie sheets of deliciousness.

Place both cookie sheets in the oven for 20 minutes. Be careful when removing the cookie sheets – there will be bacon grease.

Let them cool for 5 minutes. Place on a plate and watch them disappear.

Fantastic! I made them for a Ladies Night In and for Super Bowl. Not too putsy, but very, very delicious. A hit with everyone!

I make these all of the time for parties, especially at work, everyone loves them and requests that I bring them in. I use maple smoked bacon, the flavor is the best. Make sure those dates are already pitted, makes it so much easier.

I’ve made these before and they were delish! Another variation is to stuff the dates with gorgonzola cheese…yummy.
