No exact science to this one. Just plain yummy yummy.
I fix these every year for Christmas and any occasion I can get away with. I learned to make these from my mother-in-law. They are my most frequent request for parties.
Heat oven to 350F.
Cut bacon slices in half.
Combine cream cheese and diced green onion/scallion. Spread cream cheese and onion mixture on slices of all-grain bread.
Cut slices of bread in half. Roll bread into a cylinder shape, then wrap with half a slice of bacon.
Pin it all together with a toothpick!
Place on a baking sheet and pop it in the heated oven and cook till bacon is just done, about 20 minutes.
Remove and drain on a paper towel.
Try to not pop these like tic tacs!
