Looks Delicious! Baked Spice Doughnuts

Posted by in Looks Delicious!

Tasty Kitchen Blog: Looks Delicious! (Baked Spice Doughnuts, submitted by TK member Jenna Weber of Eat, Live, Run. Adapted from Joy the Baker.)

Here’s a quick Sunday treat that’ll help ease the pain of bidding another weekend farewell. It takes less than half an hour to make, using ingredients you likely already have in your pantry. Make extra to have as a Monday morning pick-me-up!

This Baked Spice Doughnuts recipe is brought to us by Jenna, whose blog Eat, Live, Run aptly bears the slogan, “Celebrating life, one crumb at a time.” (Jenna, in turn, adapted her recipe from Joy the Baker, who is also a Tasty Kitchen member.)

Thanks for such a lovely-looking recipe!

This looks good! But can I replace the pumpkin pie spice with another spice? I don't believe we have it in this country. ;) Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! :)

Anna, here's a link to a recipe for homemade pumpkin spice here in Tasty Kitchen. It's basically a mix of cinnamon, ginger, ground cloves, nutmeg, and cardamom.

I made these today! I doubled the recipe for our family and I replaced 1/2 the yogurt with pumpkin puree. They were FAB!!!

Oooo...the pumpkin puree sounds like a great idea! King Arthur Flour has the donut pans in two sizes available on line. http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/items/standard-doughnut-pan

I feel honored to be mentioned! I hope y'all like them...they are one of my favorites! And Anna, if you dont have pumpkin pie spice you can just use half a teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 tap of nutmeg. Enjoy!

What a coincidence! I baked a pan of donuts over the weekend for the first time ever. I asked for a donut pan for Christmas and my Mom got me one! I made plain vanilla and then tossed them with some cinnamon sugar and we all stood around in the kitchen and devoured them while they were still warm. It's a good thing it only makes 6 at a time or else I would be (and my hips!) in big trouble!
